Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson took a scary fall and landed on his back after being fouled during the third quarter of Tuesday night's game in Atlanta, but still scored on the off-balance backwards layup.
Stephenson drove through the lane and drew a foul on Hawks defender Paul Millsap, then lost his balance as he turned his back to the basket while in the air. Stephenson threw the shot up, which threw him even more off balance and resulted with him crash landing to the floor on his back. Amazingly, however, the shot went off the backboard and through the net for the bucket.
Stephenson made the foul shot, but left the game a few minutes later and did not return. No update yet as to the severity of the injury, but we hope Stephenson is OK.
H/T FTW.
