And now for something completely random: Calgary Flames forward Jiri Hudler was shooting baskets last Friday...while wearing his hockey gear.
The Flames had arrived in Philadelphia a day early for their game with the Flyers, but couldn't practice at the Wells Fargo Center because the 76ers had a basketball game against the Los Angeles Lakers that night. While the Flames waited for transportation to UPenn's Class of 23 Ice Rink across town, Hudler decided to use the opportunity to shoot a few baskets on the arena floor.
Despite not having his skates, Hudler displayed some decent basketball moves and even got some shooting tips from Lakers assistant coach Larry Lewis. Unfortunately, the Flames' visit to Philly was unsuccessful as they lost to the Flyers 2-1.
