A Montreal Canadiens fan in the front row who was banging on the glass was knocked down by a hit on the ice during Thursday night's game against Columbus.
It happened in the third period after a faceoff as Canadiens forward Travis Moen took possession of the puck along the boards as it came around the back of the Habs net. Blue Jackets right winger Corey Tropp came across the ice to deliver the check on Moen as the fan was banging their palm on the glass. Just as Moen passed the puck away, Tropp knocked Moen into the boards right where the fan was standing, knocking the fan down to the ground.
We would say that the fan got what they deserved here, as banging the glass doesn't accomplish anything except for annoying other fans who are trying to watch the game. Let this be a lesson the fan won't soon forget.
