New York Rangers analyst John Giannone lost his headset in the middle of a live report during the first minute of the third period of Friday night's game in Columbus.
Giannone was giving his report when something tugged the wire attached to his headset and pulled it right off his head. After pausing to grab the headset off the floor, Giannone continued on with his report like the true professional that he is.
This morning, Giannone gave some background on the incident via Twitter:
Much enjoyed comments last night after my Vanishing Headset Caper in Columbus. In short: mic attached to metal box. Box fell. Comedy ensued.
