In Saturday Ligue 1 soccer action from France, a corner kick by Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena was delayed by a perfectly thrown Betty Boop doll during their road match against Sochaux.
It happened in the 51st minute with Marseille down 1-0. As Valbuena was positioning the ball for the kick, the Betty Boop doll landed right in front of the corner flag. Valbuena picked up Betty Boop and handed the doll to a nearby security guard, who took it away.
Despite Betty Boop's interference, Marseille scored in the 90th minute to lock up a 1-1 draw.
