Miami Heat superstar LeBron James was denied on a dunk attempt by Brooklyn Nets rookie power forward Mason Plumlee with just under 5 seconds left to save the Nets victory, although it would appear from the replay that a foul could have been called on two different Nets players on the final play.
Not only did Joe Johnson appear to foul LeBron as he started his move toward the basket, but Plumlee appeared to high-five LeBron's right hand as LeBron tried to throw it down. The Nets grabbed the rebound as Plumlee knocked the ball away and the clock ran out to close the 88-87 Nets victory, which wrapped up a four-game season sweep of the Heat.
It would be understandable if Heat fans were upset today that no foul was called on the Nets, but given the benefit of the doubt that LeBron normally gets, the calls will tend to go LeBron's way over the long run.
