Boston Red Sox third baseman Brock Holt made a nice barehanded catch after A.J. Pierzynski provided an unexpected assist on a foul popup during Sunday night's game at Fenway Park against Detroit.
It happened in the top of the seventh as Tigers batter Victor Martinez fouled a 2-0 pitch behind home plate. Pierzynski was chasing it down with Holt trailing as he came over from third. With the ball drifting towards the front row, Pierzynski appeared to pass on making the catch so he could keep the ball in play with his mitt and knock it over to Holt, who was standing by to grab the ball with his bare hand.
The Tigers won the game 6-2, but this play by Pierzynski and Holt provided a nice highlight for Red Sox fans.
