The Minnesota Wild had an extra man on the ice for 15 seconds, and got away with it, during Friday night's Game 4 of their Western Conference playoff series against Chicago.
It happened in the third period after a line change with 12:10 remaining. The Wild played defense until one of the skaters realized the mistake and headed for the bench, finally getting off the ice with 11:55 left. It was clearly unintentional, but there's no excuse for the officials to miss this one.
The Wild beat the Blackhawks 4-2 to tie the series at 2 games apiece, and are now 5-0 in the postseason at home.
