Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz took a strike as he was forced to turn away from a pitch when a bug flew into his eye during his third inning at-bat in Tuesday night's game in Baltimore.
Big Papi stepped out of the batter's box as Orioles pitcher Chris Tillman threw the 2-1 pitch for a strike. The home plate umpire didn't have the chance to call time because Ortiz stepped out of the box too late. Ortiz was checked out by the Red Sox trainer before being given the OK to continue.
Can't say Ortiz took that strike "looking", but it's better to be safe when you can't see what's coming.
