It happened in the bottom of the fourth as Stanton hit a line drive to shortstop for an out. Stanton's bat shattered and the barrel flew towards McGehee as he was warming up, hitting him on the arm. Fortunately, McGehee was not hit by the sharp end of the broken bat and was able to walk it off and stay in the game.
