A Kansas City Royals ball boy mistakenly fielded a fair ball hit by New York Yankees batter Brian Roberts during the fourth inning of Sunday's game at Kauffman Stadium.
Roberts hit a ball inside the first base bag that curved foul down the right field line. The Royals ball boy scooped it up as it came to him and gave it to a young fan before right fielder Norichika Aoki pointed out his mistake.
The poor ball boy had nowhere to hide, but fortunately the Yankees weren't able to capitalize on his mistake as the Royals kept the Yankees off the scoreboard.
