Detroit Tigers shortstop Eugenio Suarez suffered an embarrassing mishap as he fell down after rounding third base during the seventh inning of Sunday night's game against Tampa Bay.
Suarez was on first base with two outs when Tigers batter Austin Jackson doubled to deep left field. Suarez was waved home as he reached third base and probably would have scored, but he lost his footing about halfway to home plate. The result was an embarrassing faceplant which allowed Rays catcher Jose Molina to tag him out easily.
It was that kind of night for the Tigers as they lost to the Rays 7-3.
