Now that New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera has retired, the guys from Metallica are having trouble finding someone new to provide an entrance song for - at least, that is the premise of the latest ESPN "This is SportsCenter" commercial.
In the ad, Metallica deals with their most recent rejection from Coach K while contemplating calling the next name on their list - golfer John Daly. Metallica is even open to lending their music to an ESPN golf special, although it doesn't seem like a good fit.
Things are getting so bad that lead guitarist Kirk Hammett is having to resort to guitar lessons to make ends meet - and he's even willing to give the first lesson for free.
It's all in good fun of course, as we're sure Metallica has done pretty well for themselves - right?
