Auburn Tigers wide receiver Melvin Ray scored a 49-yard touchdown during the first quarter to open the scoring in Saturday's 45-21 victory over Arkansas, but he was nearly caught from behind on the play - by the team's ball boy.
In a video that has to be seen to be believed, Auburn's ball boy follows Ray down the sideline just a few steps behind, keeping pace with him step-for-step until Ray pulled away in the last few yards before the end zone.
Looks like Florida State's "Red Lightning" has some serious competition. With speed like that, this Auburn ball boy may end up landing himself a spot on the team. You have to think Auburn could find a way to use a speedster like this guy, even as part of the scout team.
