Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez tossed his bat into his own path and nearly tripped over it during Wednesday night's game against San Francisco.
It happened in the bottom of the fifth as Gomez flied out to right field. Gomez flipped his bat down in disgust, then found himself having to leap over it as it bounced back into the basepath.
Gomez is lucky he didn't injure himself on the play. Just another perfect example as to why bat flipping should not be allowed.
