New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick laughed off a question that implied there might be a quarterback controversy brewing after Monday night's postgame press conference following their 41-14 loss in Kansas City.
Tom Brady was 14-for-23 for 159 yards and 1 touchdown, but threw 2 interceptions, including a pick-six. In the fourth quarter, with the Patriots down 41-7, Brady was replaced by backup Jimmy Garoppolo, who promptly led an 81-yard touchdown drive.
After the game, Belichick was asked by a reporter "Will the quarterback position be evaluated?" Belichick gave the reporter a look as if to say "Come on, man," then laughed it off.
There's nothing that Brady could have done differently to change the outcome on Monday night. The Patriots have issues to be concerned about, but the quarterback position is not one of them.
