Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby shook his mask right off his head during Sunday's preseason game against Montreal.
Holtby got hit in the side of the head with a high stick from Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher when he threw his head forward, throwing the mask off his head.
As per NHL rules, play stops immediately when the goalie's mask comes off, provided that the opponent doesn't have an immediate scoring opportunity. The mask came off pretty easily, although it's hard to tell whether it was an intentional move by Holtby or not.
