Minnesota Vikings cornerback Captain Munnerlyn sacked Drew Brees with a suplex-style hit that Brees didn't particularly care for during the third quarter of Sunday's game in the Superdome.
Fortunately Brees was not injured on the play, but Brees made sure he let it be known that he did not appreciate the hit by Munnerlyn, calling it a “straight Hulk Hogan, 1985-style suplex”.
Munnerlyn was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness, and he may receive a fine from the NFL. That is, assuming the league isn't too tied up dealing with domestic violence issues.
Ironically, the Saints Twitter account took the quote by Brees and ran with it:
