Greg Norman was in the hospital Saturday night after suffering an injury to his left hand in a chainsaw accident.
"The Shark" posted an Instagram photo of himself laying in a hospital bed with his left hand wrapped in bandages. The caption with the photo reads "Working with a chainsaw ALWAYS be respectful of the unexpected. I was one lucky man today. Damaged, but not down & out. Still have left hand."
Last week, Norman posted a photo of himself using a chainsaw to trim a tree on his property. We would speculate Norman's injury occurred during a similar activity. We send along our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
UPDATE: The AP reports that as of Sunday morning, Norman is out of the hospital and in good spirits. Norman said "There is no major damage. There is nerve damage, but no muscular damage." He has posted an updated photo on Instagram:
