Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander had to contend with a bee buzzing around the mound during the opening moments of Monday night's start against Kansas City.
Multiple times, Verlander found himself having to step off the mound as he was about to throw a pitch because the bee was getting right into his face. It was a strange sight, considering the bee had a lot of open space to fly around in, but seemed to be fixated on Verlander for some reason.
Eventually, Verlander was successful in getting the bee to fly away, and was on his way to earning himself a win as the Tigers won the game 9-5.
