Rory McIlroy suffered a major disaster on the 12th hole of Saturday's third round of the BMW Championship when he needed four putts from five feet away to sink the ball.
McIlroy appeared to be in perfect position for par, but had to settle for double bogey on the par-3 hole and finished the round at 2-over. Although he is still tied for 10th overall for the tournament at 4-under, McIlroy appears to be out of contention for the title at nine strokes back of the leader.
Just go to show that even the great golfers can have their really bad days.
