A caution was triggered during the late stages Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway when a shirtless fan climbed the catch fence at Turn 4 and perched himself at the top of it.
At this point, it is unclear how the unidentified fan made it past security in order to climb the fence, but it's probably not a typical situation that security would necessarily be prepared for. After all, what kind of person would be crazy enough to climb the catch fence at a NASCAR race? Obviously things will have to change going forward.
According to a Raceway spokeswoman, the fan was arrested by county police and charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Something tells us a lifetime ban from attending NASCAR races may be handed to this fan as well.
DISCLAIMER: Holdout Sports does not condone this behavior.
H/T FTW.
