A Chicago White Sox broadcaster confused viewers by mistaking a home run by catcher Tyler Flowers for a foul ball during the 10th inning of Tuesday night's game in Minnesota.
Broadcaster Steve Stone said "Runner going...and fouled off once again." as Flowers hit a 3-2 pitch and it sliced down the right field line. However, the ball did not curve foul, as it stayed a few feet to the left of the foul pole and made it to the front row above the right field wall.
Naturally, this left Stone a bit stunned and surprised: "It's a home run. Wow."
It was Flowers' second 2-run HR of the night, and helped the White Sox increase their lead to allow them to close out a 6-3 victory over the Twins.
