A Los Angeles Angels fan retaliated against his taunting Kansas City Royals fan-friend with a Thunderstick during Friday night's Game 2 of the ALDS in Anaheim.
It happened in the bottom of the eighth after Royals center fielder Jarrod Dyson threw out Angels pinch runner Colin Cowgill at third base, completing an 8-5 double play which wiped out an Angels scoring opportunity. That play, combined with his friend's taunting, apparently put this Angels fan over the edge.
Since Thundersticks are nothing more than plastic balloons, it's safe to say that the Royals fan was unharmed during this incident. However, we can only imagine how the Angels fan reacted after the game was over, when the Royals won 4-1 to take a 2-0 lead in the ALDS.
