Tampa Bay Rays switch-hitting infielder Ben Zobrist started his sixth inning at-bat with a lefty helmet while batting from the right side in Sunday's game for the MLB All-Stars in Japan.
Zobrist reached a 2-1 count when teammate Evan Longoria hooked him up with the appropriate right-handed helmet. Everyone involved, including Japan's pitcher, got a good chuckle out of it.
The broadcasters summed it up best: "It's alright, Ben. The world's watching. No big deal."
