The Arizona Wildcats football team accidentally trampled one of their own flags as they came out of the tunnel prior to the start of the Fiesta Bowl against Boise State on New Year's Eve.
The cheerleaders led the way for the football team, carrying flags containing the individual letters for the word "WILDCATS". Unfortunately, they didn't give enough lead time for the male cheerleader holding the trailing "S" to raise his flag before the players came out, and it got dragged along the ground and stepped on as a result.
It may have been an omen for Arizona as they lost the game to Boise State 38-30.
