Earlier this week, the Denver Police Department sent a shout-out to the city's local sports teams via Twitter, but curiously missing from the tweet was a reference to the Nuggets, the local NBA team. Naturally, this did not go unnoticed by the Nuggets:
Denver PD even went out of their way to mention the Colorado Rapids, the local pro soccer team, but left out the Nuggets. What's the deal? Was this just a terrible oversight, or does the Denver PD have a beef with the Nuggets?
After scanning the @DenverPolice timeline, we still haven't found a formal apology since this tweet went out. However, we did come across this:
So the Denver PD does root for the Nuggets. They just don't LOVE the Nuggets. That much is clear, because if they did, they never would have left them out of the original tweet in the first place.

DEAR @denvernuggets please beat the Jazz tonight. Though we don't always do it well, WE ARE ROOTING FOR YOU!
