FOX NFL broadcaster Joe Buck laid on some thick sarcasm to rip rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel's performance in his first NFL start...and he wasn't even covering the Cleveland Browns game.
During the first quarter of Sunday's Seattle Seahawks game against the visiting San Francisco 49ers, Buck came out of a commercial break and went on the attack without any warning:
"Hi, my name is Johnny Manziel. You might know me as Johnny Football. I made my first start here in Week 15. How did I do? Oh, I went 10-for-18 with 2 interceptions, threw for 80 yards, had a quarterback rating of 27.3, and lost to the (Cincinnati) Bengals 30-0."Buck's broadcasting partner Troy Aikman defended Manziel, saying "Well, compared to my first start, that was a heck of a day."
Buck went back to covering the play-by-play, but not without one final parting shot at Johnny Football: "Off to Canton you go!"
Whoa, where did that come from? Did Buck wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Why he did he go out of his way to diss Manziel?
