Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant has passed legend Michael Jordan to become the third leading scorer all-time in NBA history.
It happened in Sunday night's game in Minnesota against the Timberwolves as Bryant made two free throws with 5:24 remaining in the second quarter to take sole possession of third place on the all-time NBA scoring list behind only Kareem Abdul-Jabaar and Karl Malone.
The game was stopped as the crowd cheered Bryant as he accepted congratulations from his Lakers teammates and the Timberwolves players. Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor, who is also the Chairman of the NBA Board of Directors, awarded Bryant with the game ball. Bryant then gave a big hug to Lakers head coach Byron Scott.
