Wednesday's Premier League soccer match at the Stadium of Light between host Sunderland and Manchester City was interrupted in the 87th minute by a pitch invader dressed as Spider-Man.
The GIF to the right is a snippet of the raw video we managed to track down which shows the fan putting on his uniform and jumping out of the stands.
Spidey's appearance didn't last long as he was apprehended by security and marched off the pitch, but various media outlets managed to take a few photos of the incident:

In the end, it was discovered that the fan in the costume was NOT Peter Parker:
Spider-Man...Yes, Spider-Man was apprehended in the Sunderland tunnel. How we laughed!! #MCFC pic.twitter.com/O2DcAPuKTm

At the very least, Spider-Man made things interesting in the final moments for the Sunderland fans who stayed to the end as their team lost to Man City 4-1.
