Trotz was the victim of his own player's stick as Caps left winger Marcus Johansson was knocked over the boards by Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn. Johansson's stick went flying up and hit Trotz right in the forehead, opening up a small cut.
A Caps trainer came out to the bench to put a sterilizing strip on the cut. Trotz just kept right on doing his job without missing a beat, proving that the NHL's coaches are as tough as the players.
