Bill Nye "The Science Guy" was not impressed with Bill Belichick's attempt to explain how the footballs used by the New England Patriots in the first half of last week's AFC Championship game were deflated two pounds below regulation.
In a Saturday press conference, Belichick claimed that the team's normal practice of rubbing the footballs somehow caused the footballs to lose pressure. However, on Sunday morning's episode of Good Morning America, Nye ripped Belichick's explanation behind "DeflateGate":
"What [Belichick] said didn’t make any sense. Rubbing the football, I don’t think you can change the pressure. To really change the pressure you need one of these: the inflation needle.”As far as the upcoming Super Bowl, Nye had only one thing to say: "Go Seahawks!"
H/T FTW.
