That's something you don't typically see in an NHL game, but with the 1:00 start at Nationals Park, the brightness of the sun probably factored into Alzner's decision.
You wonder if the NHL can capitalize on this somehow, with team-branded sunglasses. It's a pretty cool look, although they probably aren't too useful indoors.
