After Zach Johnson drove his tee shot on the par-4 10th into a rock pile during Friday's second round of the Humana Challenge, he tried to hit the ball out of the rocks instead of taking a drop and a penalty stroke. Big mistake.
Johnson’s attempt to salvage par backfired, literally, as his second shot caromed backwards off the rocks and into the water on his way to a double bogey.
Johnson managed to finish the round at 2-under and made the cut at 5-under overall heading into the weekend, but has a considerable hill to climb at 10 shots back of the leader. That shot certainly didn't help his chances.
