Minnesota Timberwolves rookie point guard Zach Lavine proved he's ready for the upcoming NBA Slam Dunk Contest by throwing down a half-court alley oop in the second quarter of Wednesday night's game against Boston.
Fellow rookie Andrew Wiggins set Lavine up perfectly, and the dunk really got the crowd excited.
Lavine scored 17 points and gave out 6 assists as the Timberwolves beat the Celtics 110-98. The Timberwolves still have the worst record in the NBA, but at least there's some young talent to provide some hope for the future.
