Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford gave up an embarrassing goal on a puck dumped from center ice by Colorado Avalanche defenseman Brad Stuart during the third period of Friday night's game at the United Center.
Stuart dumped the puck straight to Crawford, who tried to catch the Avs off guard by playing the puck. The puck took some funny hops and managed to sneak right under Crawford's stick and into the net.
It was only Stuart's second goal of the season, and it sealed the game for the Avalanche, who beat the Blackhawks 4-1. As for Crawford, he wishes he could have a do-over on that one:
Crawford on fourth goal: "No way I should ever play the puck like that. Close to the net, took a hop, just a stupid play on my part."
