Boston Celtics center Brandon Bass was forced to play defense while carrying one shoe during one first quarter sequence in Monday night's game in Miami.
Bass lost his shoe while scoring on a jumper with 6:44 remaining in the first. Bass didn't have time to put it back on, so he carried it down the court with him and attempted to play defense while holding the shoe. While waiting for the next play stoppage to get his shoe back on, Bass nearly grabbed a defensive rebound.
Bass is fortunate that the Heat didn't play keep-away with the shoe, as other teams have been known to do. Hopefully next time he'll tie his laces a little better.
Bass led the way for the Celtics with 14 points and 9 rebounds as they came away with a 100-90 victory over the Heat.
