Virginia Cavaliers senior forward Darion Atkins stuffed Michigan State Spartans sophomore guard Alvin Ellis with a monster block during the first half of Sunday's NCAA Tournament East Regional matchup in Charlotte.
Ellis went in strong with the one-handed dunk attempt, but was steadfastly denied:
Atkins had a strong game with 10 points and 14 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the No. 2-seeded Cavaliers were upset by the seventh-seeded Spartans, who advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 60-54 victory.
