Washington Wizards guard John Wall ended up in the fifth row of the crowd after a failed attempt to chase down a loose ball during the final minute of Monday night's game against Portland.
Wall completely sold out to save the Wizards offensive possession after a missed shot, stepping on top of a seat in the second row with his momentum carrying him five rows deep. Somehow, Wall managed to avoid landing on the fans and everyone was OK.
To top things off, Wall landed on top of the boards that mark the outer edge of the hockey rink for Capitals games, so he was fortunate not to come away uninjured.
Why would Wall risk injury with the Wizards holding a 7 point lead over the Trail Blazers in the final minute? Well, he fell just short of a triple double with 21 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds. That loose ball could have made the night complete.
