New York Yankees legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson autographed a baseball and hand-delivered it to a fan who was hit by a flying bat during the second inning of Sunday's spring training game in Tampa against Washington.
In the second inning, Nationals catcher Jose Lobaton lost the grip on his bat while fouling off a 2-1 pitch and it hit a woman sitting behind the Yankees dugout on the first base side. Fortunately, she was OK.
The woman got to keep Lobaton's bat, but as an added bonus, she received the autographed baseball from Jackson, who was in the dugout helping the Yankees as a hitting instructor. That's a nice collectible to come home with.
