Ottawa Senators rookie goaltender Andrew Hammond picked up a hamburger that found its way onto the ice and held it up like a trophy before tossing it to a fan after Sunday's shootout victory over Philadelphia.
The hamburger was a show of respect from the Senators fans for the 27-year-old rookie who has earned the nickname "The Hamburglar". Hammond has embraced the nickname, and even has a picture of the McDonald's character on the right side of his goalie mask.
Hammond is now 10-0-1 in his first 11 NHL starts and has allowed only 16 goals.
