Washington Capitals defenseman Brooks Orbik was the apparent target of a cup filled with beer that was thrown on the ice following Tuesday night's 3-2 OT win over the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum.
Orbik was congratulating his teammates in the moments after the winning goal was scored when the cup came through, presumably thrown by a disgruntled Islanders fan. Orbik wasn't hit by the cup, but did get splashed by some of the beer as it flew by.
The series is now tied at 2-2, which means the Capitals will have to return to Long Island for Game 6 this weekend.
