Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig was forced to leave Friday's spring training game against the Angels after a scary collision with infielder Howie Kendrick, but is expected to be OK.
It happened in the bottom of the fifth as Puig and Kendrick were pursuing a fly ball to short right field, with Kendrick pulling back late as Puig called for it. In the end, however, the ball dropped and Kendrick couldn't avoid Puig, who took an elbow to the face.
Puig was checked out by a trainer and removed from the game as a precaution. He walked off the field under his own power.
