Matt Kuchar used some creativity to get himself out of a tight spot with a backhand chip shot onto the green at the 17th hole during Friday's second round of the Players Championship golf tournament.
Kuchar's tee shot on the par-3 hole landed next to a bulkhead, just inches from the water. With no room to take a normal right-handed shot, Kuchar turned his back to the hole and let it fly.
Kuchar made it onto the green with the unusual shot, but was only able to make a bogey which, in the end, put him one stroke short of the cut. Clearly he did everything he could here. It just wasn't meant to be.
