Phillies pitcher hit in throat
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Sean O'Sullivan was accidentally hit in the throat with the throwback from catcher Cameron Rupp during the top of the sixth in Sunday's game against Arizona.

It happened with two outs and D-backs runners on first and third after O'Sullivan had delivered his 2-2 pitch high for ball three. O'Sullivan was looking to first base, so he wasn't ready when Rupp tossed the ball back to him. When O'Sullivan turned, the ball was right on top of him and he had no time to react.

After being checked out by medical staff, O'Sullivan stayed in the game for one more pitch, getting a fly out to end the inning. His performance was good enough to earn the win as the Phillies beat the Diamondbacks 6-0. It was O'Sullivan's first major league victory in four years.
