Alvin Gentry is set to become head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans now that he has completed his role as an assistant coach of the Golden State Warriors, helping them win the NBA Finals.
Gentry celebrated the championship victory in the Warriors locker room Tuesday night, but he made sure to relay a message to Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis: "We're coming right back here!"
Right away? Not likely. However, we'll see what kind of team the Pelicans can build over the next few years.
