San Francisco Giants pitcher George Kontos accidentally spilled his coffee on teammate Madison Bumgarner while trying to avoid a foul ball in the dugout during Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh.
Kontos was relaxing against the railing with the drink in his hand when a foul grounder from Pirates batter Josh Harrison came towards the Giants dugout. Kontos tried to keep the cup steady while getting out of the way, but the coffee splashed out and onto Bumgarner's warmup jacket. Whoops.
Bumgarner seemed to be OK, aside from the stained jacket. Kontos is lucky that the coffee wasn't burning hot. He wouldn't want to be responsible for scalding the reigning World Series MVP. That wouldn't be a good look.
