Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria was left hanging by a foul ball that got stuck in the rafters during the first inning of Sunday's game at Tropicana Field.
Longoria and Curt Casali ran to catch the foul popup hit by Houston Astros batter Colby Rasmus, but the ball never came down. Longoria tried to guide the ball with his hands, but to no avail.
By rule, the result of the play was a foul ball when it should have been an out.
