FOX Sports golf reporter Holly Sonders will attend the prom with 16-year-old amateur golfer Andrew Orischak, who finished second in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.
Orischak made a bet with Sonders before his quarterfinal match where she agreed to be his prom date if he won the tournament. Orischak made it all the way to the finals and led by 5 strokes with eight holes to play, but blew the lead down the stretch and watched victory slip from his grasp.
Orischak's second-place finish released Sonders from any obligation to attend his prom, but she agreed to go with him anyway.
The generosity by Sonders seemed to help lift Orischak's spirits.
