Chicago Cubs second baseman Jonathan Herrera had an issue with the decal on his batting helmet during his second inning at-bat in Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Herrera came to the plate for the first time in over a week with the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the second. It was easily noticeable that the Cubs 'C' was placed on Herrera's helmet incorrectly, as it looked more like a 'U' or a horseshoe.
There are so many questions around how this could possibly happen. We'd have to start with the equipment manager on this one.
As it happens, Herrera singled to center field and drove in two runs, and effectively ended up the game-winning hit as the Cubs beat the Braves 4-1. So, maybe the Cubs should leave the decal on Herrera's helmet alone?
